Long, low, about 30' by 70' when I bought it with exposed beams and roof in the front part of the house. Little to no door and window trim. Large expanses of pine paneling. A four and twelve rise to the roof line with almost 3 foot exposed eaves. Records say it was built around 1951 by the owner and sold the first time in 1958 and had 1300 square feet. I think it was 30’ by 40’ with a small garage originally and the garage was built in and another garage added and then that was done again with varying degrees of success. It has problems. On the other hand, the windows are all small except in the front den. The back windows are 3’ high and 5’ wide, even in the master. There is no openness to the house, it’s chopped up in small rooms except for the den/dining area and it has several built ins (had a lot more). The back yard is only accessible though the back door, though I’ve added French doors in one area and intend to add more access. There is no stonework, but it has a brick chimney that covers almost the whole end of the den. It is covered with cedar board and batt. There is some trim around windows and doors in the kitchen. It has two front doors, one going into the den and one into what I consider the dining area. It is not a tract home, it’s in a neighborhood where lots were sold and individuals had houses built. Also, I am the proud owner of kitchen cab's in the "early conquistador" look from the 70's. I will be painting them too. Any tips or photo's would be great.
